Job description
- Enables consumers to stay in their homes.
- Follows care plan as directed by designated supervisor.
- Monitors consumers condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
- Supports consumers by providing light housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.
- Assists consumers by providing personal care services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Helps consumers care for themselves by assisting with the use of cane or walker, special utensils to eat, adaptive equipment, reminders with medication and person-centered support for personal hygiene.
- Notifies designated supervisor of changes, concerns, or unusual conditions with consumer.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment.
- Maintains security precautions.
- Follows prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards.

PCA/Caregiver Pay: $17-20 per hour
PCA/Caregiver Shifts: ALL shifts available from 3 to 12 hours
As a PCA/Caregiver, you:
- are honest, energetic, and approachable with good communication skills and a ready smile.
- may provide safety assistance with showering, personal care, medication reminders, going through prescribed range of motion exercises, dementia care, and even hospice care.
- don’t have to be a gourmet chef, but you will prepare or assist with preparation of basic meals for your client. Meal preparation and homemaking are part of what helps to keep seniors in their home.
- will maintain the cleanliness of their home by doing light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping/mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, and doing laundry.
- may run errands, take your client to appointments, and provide companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
- will be awake and alert even on overnight shifts to help our clients.
PCA/Caregiver Qualifications:
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Must have reliable, consistent means of transportation to work
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before beginning work
- Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
- Must be able to communicate in English (written and verbal)
- PCA, CNA or HHA certificate is preferred but experience counts!
- One or more years of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide (HHA) in health or home care also preferred but not required
