Family Services of Central MA is looking for Homemakers to join our growing Home Care department. The primary purpose of a Personal Care Homemaker is to assist their elderly or disabled clients in their day to day lives, provide companionship, and observe their clients to report back any changes which may be medically relevant. To do this, a Homemaker spends time in the clients home completing important day to day tasks which could include:
- Light Housekeeping
- Vacuuming
- Dusting
- Dry mopping
- Cleaning the Kitchen & Bathroom
- Changing Bed Linens
- Emptying Trash
- Laundry
- Meal Preparation
- Picking up groceries and/or Prescriptions
- Observing Clients General Condition and Report Changes
The starting pay is $16.00 to $17.00 hourly based on experience, with benefits available dependent on the average hours worked weekly. This is an entry level position with paid training and career development provided for qualified candidates.
Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of Homemaker training program = 40 hours (as recommended by the Massachusetts Council for Home Care Aide Services).
On-going state required staff development training = 6 hours per year.

Demonstrated interest in assisting people with disabilities. Good problem-solving skills
