Job description
- Enables consumers to stay in their homes.
- Follows care plan as directed by the designated supervisor.
- Monitors consumer's condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise.
- Supports consumers by providing light housekeeping and laundry services, shopping for food and other household requirements, preparing and serving meals and snacks, and running errands.
- Assists consumers by providing personal care services, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Helps consumers care for themselves by assisting with the use of a cane or walker, special utensils to eat, adaptive equipment, reminders with medication, and person-centered support for personal hygiene.
- Notifies the designated supervisor of changes, concerns, or unusual conditions with the consumer.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment.
- Maintains security precautions.
- Follows prescribed dietary requirements and nutrition standards.
